The Star Finger Meme: Anime History

1. Origin: Jotaro Kujo & Star Platinum

Star Finger is a move performed by Star Platinum, the Stand of Jotaro Kujo, in Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders). Jotaro extends his index and middle fingers to strike enemies from a distance when he is otherwise unable to move.

2. Why It Became a Meme

The move is famous because Jotaro rarely uses it. This "hidden gem" of a move became a source of humor for fans who wonder why he doesn't use such a versatile ability more often in his many battles.
