The Lesbian Pride Flag: Kiss & Beyond

The Lesbian Pride flag has gone through several iterations. The most popular modern version features beautiful gradients of orange, white, and pinkish-purple.

1. The Orange and Pink Flag

Created in 2018, this 7-stripe (or 5-stripe) flag is widely accepted. The Orange represents gender non-conformity, independence, and community. The Pink represents serenity, love, and femininity.

2. History of the "Lipstick" Flag

An older version, the Lipstick Lesbian flag, included a kiss icon in the corner. While less common today, it was a precursor to the modern gradients we see at Pride events today.

Flag Layer Meanings

  • Dark Orange: Gender non-conformity.
  • White Stripes: Unique relationship to womanhood.
  • Dark Rose/Purple: Serenity and peace.
